Privacy Policy

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the information TilFin gathers, the reasons it is used, the protections applied to it, and the choices available to you. It covers the TilFin mobile application and the services connected with it.

Using the application confirms that you have read and accepted this Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use and remove the application from your device. Please also review the Terms of Service, which govern use of the service.

Information We Gather

Identity and Contact Information

We may collect your full name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and government-issued identification details. This information is held securely and encrypted at our service domain.

Identity information is securely processed and stored through server.tilfin.co.

These details are used only to confirm identity, administer your account, and satisfy regulatory duties. They are not used for an unrelated commercial purpose.

Device Information

We may receive device make and model, operating-system version, IP address, and Google Advertising ID. These details support reliability, fraud prevention, and account security; they are never used for advertising or to make a credit decision.

Installed Application Metadata

Package names and installation dates for applications on your device may be checked to identify security risks. We do not collect app contents, passwords, or usage activity, and this metadata does not affect a credit decision.

Camera and Document Capture

When you actively start document verification, camera access lets you capture the required identity material. Captured files are encrypted while sent to server.tilfin.co and are deleted after verification is complete. The camera is not used in the background, and captured images are not retained afterward.

Approximate Location

With permission, approximate location may be used to confirm service availability. Exact coordinates are not collected, and location is not used for advertising, profiling, or a credit decision.

Anonymous Usage Information

Aggregated, non-identifying information such as screens visited, time spent, and error events may be analysed to improve performance. This information cannot identify you and does not influence credit eligibility.

Why We Collect Information

Information is used to:

  • Verify identity and assess eligibility.
  • Operate the credit line and process related transactions.
  • Detect fraud and maintain platform security.
  • Respond to support enquiries.
  • Improve the application and resolve technical faults.
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Declining a permission may make the related feature unavailable, but it does not automatically prevent use of the entire application. We do not collect information covered by a permission you have not granted.

Who May Receive Information

We never sell, rent, or trade personal information for profit. Information may be shared only with identity-verification providers, secure infrastructure or processing partners, and public authorities when disclosure is legally required.

Every service provider must follow confidentiality and security obligations and may use the information solely to perform the TilFin service assigned to it.

How Information Is Protected

Safeguards apply throughout the information lifecycle, including TLS and HTTPS transmission, access limited to verified personnel, independent security reviews and vulnerability testing, and continuous platform monitoring.

Internal access follows need-to-know principles and is logged for audit. Although no digital environment can be completely immune from risk, we continually maintain and improve these protections. Concerns may be reported to support@tilfin.co.

How Long Information Is Kept

Personal information remains only for as long as needed to provide the service or for the longer period required by law. After an account is closed and the applicable legal retention period has ended, information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. The precise period can vary with the type of record and the governing requirement.

Age Requirement

TilFin is intended only for people who are at least 18 years of age. Identity review is used to verify this requirement, and information from minors is not knowingly collected.

If information belonging to a person under 18 is identified, the account will be closed and the information removed as soon as permitted. A suspected case may be reported at support@tilfin.co.

Your Privacy Rights

You may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion where retention is not legally required, or withdrawal of a consent previously provided.

Send a request to support@tilfin.co. We will respond within a reasonable period and may ask for identity confirmation before acting so that account information remains protected.

Changes to This Policy

This Policy can be updated as the service, law, or regulatory requirements change. A significant revision will be communicated through the application or by email before it becomes effective.

Minor corrections may be published without advance notice. The effective month shown at the beginning identifies the latest version, and continued use after an update confirms acceptance of that version.
